Honl Richard Yates
Dear Sir
With great unanimity we have decided to have a Union Meeting here on this day one week commemorative of the 22nd. Sunday being the 22nd we hold it the 23rd instead. We want you if possible to meet with us and address one or both of the meetings. We propose to have one in the afternoon, at one or two o'clock, and one at night, both in a large hall. No name would be more acceptable to our people than that of our honored Governor. Can you meet us? In case you cannot come what person or persons would you recommend to us. I shall write a letter going with
this to Jehu Baker of Bellville inviting him here, on that occasion but do not know whether he can come or not.
As the time for making the necessary arrangements will be short at best it is very desirable to hear from you by letter or Telegraph at once.
On behalf of our Union loving citizens I have the honor to be very respectfully yours,
K. H. Fell
