Hon Richard Yates Governor of the State of Illinois Dear Sir Having agreed with a friend in Bolder City Colorado Ter last fall to go there in the spring. I sold my property to get meanes to take my family there before the Conscript Act. since its passage I have understood that I will not be allowed to go. and was advised to write to you and ascertain before I started. Please answer a soon as convienant and oblige your most humble & obt Geo. A. Andrews
