Mr. Yates,
Governor, My object in writing you, is to ask your influence, in regard to getting a parole furlough, the Health of My family is very poor, and the duty I owe to them, Calls for My assistance there, if Possible to get there Honorable, otherwise I shall not go, or insist upon it I am a paroled prisoner, Captured 16th of July, By Genl. Shelby, if you will interceed for Me in getting a furlough, of that kind, I shall always owe you a dept of gratitude. I will report at the Camp,
as often as you think necessary, either, By writing or in person, hopeing you will give Me some information, in regard, I will await your reply
